My name is Dr. Bukola Onyirioha. I completed my doctoral degree in Family Studies at the Department of Human Development, Family Studies, and Counseling, Texas Woman’s University, in Summer 2022. My master’s degree is in Community Counseling, 2013. Currently, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in the state of Texas. I have owned a private practice in Richmond, TX: LPC Unique Family Therapy Center, since 2016.

My purpose as mental health therapist and professor is to assist individuals in gaining self-confidence and empowering them with the tools to become responsible and productive members of society. I have broad experience in Christian counseling, individual therapy, systemic family therapy, research, play therapy, children, and adolescents, trauma-informed care, dual diagnosis treatments, and adult psychiatric evaluations and treatments.

Bukola specializes in counseling, coaching and facilitating mental health recovery, mentoring and a preceptor for graduate psychiatric nurses students, and educating mental health clinicians.
